The 2011 Rugby World Cup was the seventh edition of the Rugby World Cup, and was held in New Zealand in September and October. The tournamnet was recognised, by players and supporters alike, of being one of the best of the recent editions. While there was no stand out game, there were also very few walkovers. New Zealand prevailed in the final overcoming a spirited French performance by the tightest of margins.
